The IS Lab is related to many exciting fields of computing, including: digital libraries, artificial intelligence, information retrieval, computation intelligence (neural networks, evolutionary algorithms, fuzzy logic and fuzzy systems), semantic web, image and signal processing, knowledge management, pattern recognition, intelligent teaching and training systems and natural language processing. Please visit our Activities page for a thorough description of the research interests and activities of the Lab. Find more info at here
Lab’s research interests focus mainly on the methodology and the tools of management information systems and operational research, the quality assurance, as well as on educational issues related to life-long learning. The lab particularly focuses on issues of linking higher education and labor market, on social and cultural approaches and on the effects that are caused to the society. Conclusively the lab does not focus on technical solutions that are covered/solved by the department’s other labs. Find more info at here
